Ride Proposal Final Presentation

L3, team of three (Linnette Martinez, Leigh Fisher and Leia Chang) spend 5 week iterating a ride proposal while integrating various components to convey the message and kind of experience the guess would. We created a virtual ride walk-through using Unreal Engine and connected key movements to a Stewart platform to mimic how the ride would be ridden. This was done after creating a physical layout and walkthrough of the experience.

  • Lead a team of three and delegated tasks based on expertise and interest to maximize productivity
  • Recorded real-time motion capture footage and rigged avatar models within Maya to the footage
  • Produced original background music clip within the Audio lab adding an immersive sense to the experience

The Hygge Gauntlet (Wearable)

  • Embedded the wearable microcontroller Flora into a knit gauntlet that is comfortable for the user
  • Designed code to control NeoPixel LEDs based on the measured heart rate of the user where if the heartrate level is above a certain threshold, the gauntlet emits soothing colors based on color theory to reduce stress

Senior Design Project: Motion Training Assistant

– Developing a motion tracking device to provide relative feedback on performance with a team of 4

– 3D model an arm in Maya for visual representation of data streams via Bluetooth and presented in Unity

– Designs physical mounting of circuitry to an actual arm using Onshape considering restraints of boards

– Liaison of industry personnel for assistance and document/organize all meetings among team
